Windows – How to only search for files in the current folder

[ This post has a free bonus ]

Hello everyone!

Here’s a useful tip on how to search for files of a single folder and not the subfolders.

There’s only one thing you need to pay attention to: where are you searching from?

>> Searching from the Libraries?
or
>> Searching from the actual folder’s location?

That’s it! Once you’re in the right place to look for file(s), the option to search in the current folder will become available:

Searching from the Libraries disables the “Current folder” option:

search_libraries

Searching in the actual “physical” or local folder enables the option:

search_local
